Technology Coordinator for the Worth County Board of Education.

Volunteer System Operator (Sysop) and presently the President of the first Free-Net in Georgia. Worth County-Sylvester, Ga Free-Net went on line September 1, 1994.

1979-1995: Instructor (Dept. Chairman 94-95) of  Tenth Grade World History. Part time Valdosta State University telecommunications instructor.

1978-1979: Instructor of Eighth Grade Social Studies, Doughterty Co., Albany, GA

1977-1978: Campaign Director for the Missouri Botanical Gardens, located in St. Louis, Missouri. I was responsible for the fund raising activities of the Garden.

1976-1977: Director of Development at Historic New Harmony, Inc. Historic New Harmony, Inc. was a nonprofit organization created by the State of Indiana to recreate the cultural and educational legacy of New Harmony.

1974-1976: Associate Campaign Director for the United Way of Birmingham, Alabama. I was responsible for four of the twelve campaign units.

1973-1974: Taught high school in Dekalb County and 9th grade football coach.

1972-1973: Graduate student at Georgia State University.

1969-1972: Associate Campaign Director with United Way of Atlanta. I was responsible for raising one million dollars of the campaign goal of eight million.

1963-1969: SAC (KC-135) Navigator, USAF. Stationed at Homestead AFB, Florida.

1962-1963: Taught high school in Effingham County, Ga.

1960-1962: Undergraduate school. Georgia Southern College.

1959-1960 Undergraduate school at South Georgia College.

1959 -        Moved to Fitzgerald, GA.

EDUCATION

Course work in computer languages. Pascal and Basic. Knowledgeable in Databases, DOS, WINDOWS, Linux, Macintosh Operating Systems, Cisco and all types of telecommunications hardware and software.

Bachlor of  Science in Education from Georgia Southern College. (Now GSU).

Master in Education Administration, Georgia State University.

Post-graduate work at the University of Alabama, Georgia Southwestern and University of Georgia.

1999 - Federal Department of Commerce guest panelist for discussion  about telecommunications for rural communities in Albuquerque, NM.

1998  - Helped secure AOL grant for Worth County-Sylvester GA Free-Net and attended award ceremony in Aspen, CO.

 1996 - Federal Department of Agriculture guest panelist for discussion  about telecommunications for rural communities at University of Georgia Conference Center, Athens, GA.

1995 - Newsweek, June 26, "Wired in The Woods".

1995- Presented "Georgia - Free-Net - World" for the State of Georgia Rural Development, November 11, 1995, conference for South Georgia. Through the "Ring Around Georgia" project presentations were made in Americus and Douglas, Georgia.

1990-96 Guest telecommunications presenter at Micro On-line with Education, Atlanta, and Georgia Technology Education Conference, Columbus and Macon, GA.

1991 -Star Teacher for Worth County High School.

1984 - Star Teacher for Worth County High School.

1981 and 1982. Jolane and I were on  the TV show "Family Feud". Yes we won.

1976 - Presenter at the American Council for the Arts fund- raising, Spring conference.

1969 - Outstanding Young Men of America award.

1968 - Air Medal, Vietnamese Service Medal, and National Defense Medal.

Boy Scout troop Advancement chairman in Pelham, Alabama. Committee chairman of the largest cub-scout pack in the Southeast, Birmingham, Alabama. Kiwanis. Vestryman for St. Stephen's Episcopal Church and Superintendent of Sunday school in New Harmony. Chairman of the Wabash District SME drive for the Boy Scouts, Buffalo Trace Council, Evansville, Indiana. Executive Committeeman of the same Council for 1977.

Membership in the first Rotary Club , St. Louis Rotary club and many times President of the Sylvester, GA Lion's Club.
